  • McGill Training and Retention Project

The specific objectives of the McGill Training and Retention of Health Professionals Project are to provide training and retention initiatives so that health and social services professionals have opportunities to improve their ability to provide services in English and to practice where they can meet the needs of the English-speaking population of Quebec. It also seeks to promote research and information sharing on approaches to reducing barriers to health and social services access for English-speaking Quebecers.

Through the McGill Retention Project, the North Shore Community Association (NSCA) will focus on maintaining and strengthening of partnerships, and developing strategies and resources that will lead towards recruitment and retention of health and social service professionals on the North Shore. Priority areas of this project will consider:

Promotional Activities with our Education Networks

Allocation of Health and Social Services Community Leadership Bursaries

This project aims towards career and educational exploration and informational resources promoting career opportunities in the health and social services sector. The North Shore region is a great place to start a career!
